My Hotel's policy is this: We do not accept packages for names who are not already in house OR scheduled to arrive this day. Use a UPS store/Fedex Office (there is one hotel where I cannot do that because the nearest Fedex office is contractually prohibited from holding packages, and the next nearest store is who knows how far away).Shipping using something faster than ground shipping, as it would make the shipping cost several hundred dollars.If that is not possible, what is a better way to ensure I get my package to my hotel, delivered on Thursday?.How can I get a hotel to hold a package for me before I check in?.There was an even more extreme case where the package ended up in limbo and it took several hours of phone calls to get the package back home. However, that becomes a bit dicey because in one case, FedEx/UPS could not redeliver it on Thursday due to the sheer amount of traffic around where my hotel is located, and I didn't get the package until Friday afternoon, AFTER spending a bunch of money to replace the stuff that was in the package. What usually happens is that the front desk rejects the package if it arrives on Wednesday, and FedEx/UPS will attempt to redeliver. Unfortunately, I've been batting 0% on this plan. I arrive at the hotel for checkin, and I pick up the package from the front desk.It arrives before I get to the hotel for checkin (in this case, Thursday).I ship a package via FedEx ground/UPS ground to hotel.Over the years, I've had mixed success shipping FedEx or UPS packages to hotels.
